Kiss Goodbye to MS

This May, Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia asks us to come together to support those with MS.

Multiple Sclerosis is the most common neurological disease affecting young Australian adults, and there is currently no cure.

Kiss Goodbye to MS Month calls on us to help make a difference by raising awareness of the disease, as well as raising funds for research into its causes and treatments.

MS in Australia

Did you know that…

  • One in 20 Australians will be touched by MS through a family member, colleague or friend with the disease.
  • An estimated 23,000 people in Australia have MS.
  • Approximately 1,000 Australians are diagnosed with MS every year.
  • Most people will be diagnosed in their twenties and forties.
  • MS affects three times as many women as men and the gap is widening.

Wear, dare or share for MS

From morning teas to fun runs to wearing red lipstick, there are plenty of ways you can get involved in Kiss Goodbye to MS. The campaign encourages supporters to wear, dare or share:

Wear: get sponsored to wear red lipstick (or anything red) throughout the month.

Dare: get sponsored to do a Kiss Goodbye to MS dare.

Share: hold or join a Kiss Goodbye to MS fundraising event, or spread the word on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using #kissgoodbyetoms.

Check out what’s happening in your community or host your own fundraising event to show your support.
