A new study by the Queensland Insititute of Medical Research gives us more reasons to use sunscreen.
Researchers discovered that after four years of regular sunscreen use, sunblock users had no detectable signs of skin ageing. The study tracked 900 men and women aged less than 55 years old over four years. Skin checks of participants confirmed that the regular sunblock wearers not only appeared not to age, they had 24% less skin ageing than people who intermittently wore sunscreen. In addition to the importance of wearing sunscreen is the need to reapply regularly throughout the day. annals.org
If you needed any more incentive to wear a daily sunscreen than its role in protecting your skin from harmful rays, a new study by the Queensland Institute of Medical Research has found it.
